The Dixie Escalante Kite Festival aims to promote reading as a habit and encourage students to engage in family-oriented physical activity. On the day of the event, qualifying students earn a high-quality kite or book for their reading efforts. Entrance to the festival is free and everyone is welcome to bring their own kite and hoist it into the air. The festival is conveniently located at the SunRiver Golf Course off Exit 2 of I-15. From St. George, simply drive south on I-15 past Exit 4 (where the Bloomington Walmart is located) until you reach Exit 2. Parking and shuttles for the event is free and located just off the freeway.
