St. George LDS Temple

Located only four blocks away, the Best Western Coral Hills is the closets hotel to the Saint George Utah Temple.  It is the oldest operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.   The St. George Utah Temple is the only temple completed during Brigham Young’s 30-year tenure as president of the Church. Dedication was 6–8 April 1877 by Daniel H. Wells. Rededication was 11–12 November 1975 by Spencer W. Kimball.
The temple grounds are open to the public and they are welcome to enjoy the calming atmosphere.  Also on the same temple block are two visitors’ centers.   Admission to the temple visitor’s centers is free.  The main visitor center provides a short guided tour which provides the opportunity to learn about the church’s teachings.  The second visitors’ center focuses on the history and construction of the St George Temple.
Entrance to the temple itself is open only to members in good standing.  Temples are the most sacred of all buildings for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
For church members staying with the Best Western Coral Hills, schedules for the St. George Temple are available at the front desk.  In limited instances shuttle service is available.
