Decades of Dixie Heritage Festival The City of St. George, the 13th to recieve a city charter in the state of Utah, is revving up to celebrate its 150th anniversary from January 10th – 17th, 2012. The festival will include local talent, food vendors, children’s games and numerous exhibits of memorabilia, artifacts and items that were used in southern Utah’s Dixie and define our local area that are distinctive to this region from as early as 1862 through today such as quilts, artwork, furniture, clothing, houses wares, photography, musical instruments, news clippings and history displays from families, businesses or organizations. All are invited to participate and join in celebrating the diverse and wonderful place St. George has become. Display booths are open to the public and free of charge. The Decades of Dixie Festival will be held January 16th from 10am to 8pm and January 17th from 10am to 6pm at the Dixie Convention Center.
